Housing with support
Housing with support is best suited for older people who need a little extra support in order to maintain their everyday lifestyle. This type of accommodation may appeal to you if you wish to keep your freedom, in perhaps a smaller and easier-to-manage home, but like the idea of having a little bit of extra help with everyday tasks. Unlike residential accommodation our homes with support do not provide personal care.
Services you should expect from housing with support are:
- Meals
- Cleaning of communal areas
- Resident’s own en-suite bedroom
- Staff available through-out the day
Residents are provided with the privacy of their own en-suite room, but also have the option of socialising with other residents in the communal living room or dining area.
All the homes have landscaped gardens for the residents to enjoy. The daily chore of cooking meals isn’t a problem because main meals are provided by the Housekeeper, enabling residents to concentrate on doing the things they enjoy.
The Housekeeper maintains and cleans the communal areas but residents look after their bedroom. Chefs at the home provide freshly cooked meals daily, and other services, such as hairdressing and chiropody are available from external sources.
Abbeyfield Kent’s unique housing with support scheme aims to allow residents to continue and maintain their everyday lifestyle, whilst receiving a helping hand.
