To celebrate Pancake Day, Rogers House oldest resident put forward an attempt for a unique claim to fame.
Victoria Middlemiss is 102 years old, celebrating her birthday earlier this month. Not wanting to miss out on the fun and games of Pancake Day, Victoria jumped at the chance to get in the Rogers House kitchen and knock up a batch of pancakes. Surely becoming Kent's most mature pancake chef?!
Rogers House home manager Lucy Dixon was enthusiastic about getting Rogers House residents involved in the kitchen, commenting: "Victoria is such a huge character around Rogers House and was a real good sport today getting involved in Pancake Day; we couldn't stop her! She's an inspiration to everyone at Rogers House."
Abbeyfield Kent looks after 500 older people throughout Kent, so is in a unique position to judge: we're certain that Victoria is Kent's oldest pancake chef, but we'd love to be proved wrong.
