Stangrove Lodge in Edenbridge has been extensively redeveloped over the last few months.
The residential home now has 13 brand new en-suite rooms, a new dining room with glass wall opening onto an enclosed courtyard garden, additional assisted bathroom with new fittings, a hairdresser salon, new nurse call system, upgraded fire alarm, remodeled corridors and new flooring to communal areas, satellite TV system to all rooms, new hot water delivery system and a new main kitchen.
Stangrove Lodge provides a safe, comfortable and homely environment, with accommodation for up to 49 older people. The residential home also welcomes those with a need for respite care.
The home offers each individual resident the level of support they need to maintain their lifestyle, which includes assisting with personal care, dietary needs, social and spiritual interest and maintaining contacts with friends, relatives and the community. Regular events and entertainment are organised (an activities programme is available upon request) and easy access to outside partnerships, such as GPs, dentists and opticians.
The Abbeyfield Kent Society doesn't just cater for individuals: Stangrove Lodge is able to provide accommodation for couples, too. Stangrove Lodge is one of the many homes that are suitable for couples. Some of our married residents even take two rooms, using one as a living room the other as a bed room.
When an individual reaches that time in life when they no longer feel comfortable living alone, moving into a care home is one way of getting the care that is needed with the companionship of other people, perhaps of the same generation. When a couple who have shared their lives reach that stage, it is a considerable wrench for them to be parted.
Whether you are an individual thinking of moving into a care home, or a couple who no longer feel secure in your own home, you will be made very welcome as part of the Abbeyfield Kent family.
