Abbeyfield House Drewery Drive
Drewery Drive is located next to our residential home Rogers House in the residential area of Wigmore, Gillingham.
The warm and welcoming home is stylishly decorated and provides accommodation for 12 residents. Each has their own en-suite room, which they can decorate and furnish as they wish to ensure it feels like home. As well as the 12 bedrooms, Drewery Drive can also offer two self contained apartments.
The home has a spacious, light and airy dining room and lounge, which is shared by all residents, giving them the opportunity to socialise and build friendships with one another. There are also laundry facilities, where residents have allocated slots. The well maintained gardens are lovely and enjoyed all year round by the residents.
A variety of activities and events take place at the home, for example, daily coffee mornings, tea parties and a regular holy communion. A librarian visits quarterly and a mobile hairdresser also visits the home, residents can make appointments at their convenience. Should residents wish to attend a church service, there is a church opposite the home. Residents also enjoy pursuing their own hobbies, such as reading, knitting, playing games and helping one another with jigsaw puzzles.
The Housekeeper prepares and serves lunch and dinner, residents supply their own breakfast.
Drewery Drive is in an ideal location, close to local amenities including convenience shops, food outlets, health clinic, doctor surgery and a Post Office. The home also has good transport links and there is a bus stop within close proximity to the home. Hempstead Valley, the large shopping centre is just a short drive from the home.
