Margaret Fisher House
Situated in a peaceful spot close to Paddock Wood town centre, Margaret Fisher House provides accommodation for up to ten residents in the main house and up to four people in the new self-contained apartments built alongside the home.
In the main house, each resident has their own en-suite room, which they can decorate and furnish as they wish to ensure it feels like home.
The home has a spacious, light and airy dining room and lounge, which is shared by all residents, giving them the opportunity to socialise and build friendships with one another.
The well-maintained gardens boast a lovely summer house and comfortable garden furniture and are enjoyed all year round by residents.
The Housekeeper prepares and serves lunch and dinner, and provides the right balance of support to enable residents to maintain their independence and continue living their lives to the full.
The semi-detached one-bedroom apartments each have a wet room and open plan living area including a kitchen, diner and lounge.
The new apartments have been created to provide independent living for over 55s and bespoke fixtures and fittings ensure the home is suitable for people with disabilities.
There is a doctor’s practice and a supermarket nearby and the train station and a bus stop are just a short walk away.
The home has a good network of volunteers who dedicate their time to the home, organising a range of activities and days out for residents from boat trips and cream teas to summer walks and quizzes.
